How do I register for the Conference?

What is the registration deadline for the Conference?

To be eligible for the early bird rate, registrations and payment must be received by May 13, 2011. See the fee schedule for exact fees. Registration is accepted right up until the day before the conference; however, early registration is encouraged to guarantee admittance as some workshops and sessions may have limited space. Walk-in registration is also available.

What is the refund policy?

Conference Workshops and STI Clinical Update:  A full refund less $40 fee will be issued if a written request is received by June 1, 2011.

Intensive Sex Therapy Training Program:  A full refund less a $40 administration fee will be issued provided written notification withdrawal is received 10 working days in advance of the course start (May 30, 2011).  A $75 fee will be withheld with fewer than 10 days prior to the course start.

 

What is meant by “Student Rate”?

Student rates have been established for full-time university and community college students. A student identification number is required when registering.

How do I go about submitting a poster session display?

If you would like to demonstrate or exhibit research, community education programs, or unique teaching approaches, a poster session is a good choice. Submit a brief description of your proposed poster to the Program Manager by April 29, 2011. A $125 speaker registration fee is required.

I have a great idea for next year’s Conference. How do I submit my idea for consideration?

A call for proposals is sent out each Fall. Please contact the Program Manager with your ideas.

What about accommodations during the conference?

You are responsible for making your own arrangements during your stay in Guelph.

To obtain the corporate rate, please mention that you will be attending the Guelph Sexuality Conference offered through the Office of Open Learning at the University of Guelph. Please note that the prices listed are based on weeknight, spring 2010 rates and may be subject to change.

On Campus Accommodation Notes: Single and Shared: Included in the single and shared rates, guests receive daily maid service. Please note that tradition style residence rooms are not air conditioned. Student: Guests do not receive daily maid service. A copy of the guest’s student card must be sent with the registration form or guest listing. Townhouses: 164 units in total. The standard unit has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and all units are air conditioned. Daily maid service is included in the townhouse rate. All townhouses have a kitchen and small living area. Please note that the townhouses do not come equipped with any kitchen supplies. Guests must bring their own.

Parking

For your convenience, parking passes can be purchased in advance as indicated on the conference registration form. Parking passes will also be available for purchase during the conference. Please refer to the registration confirmation letter you receive by email for further parking information. If you are staying in the University residence, parking is included. Parking is free on weekends and in the evening.
