Sex Therapy Training Program

Enrollment Application and Registration:

Enrollment is limited. You must register your application and be accepted in order to participate in this 5 day training program. The Sex Therapy Training Program has been approved for course credit by The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and for continuing education credits from the Ontario Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, as well as other professional associations. (39 hours).

Acceptance into the Sex Therapy Training Program is based on date of application and approval by an Instructor lead committee. You must submit a resume (1-2 pages), outlining education, experience, and current practice. The registration payment fee must accompany this application. Payment will be processed upon approval, 3 weeks prior to the start of the training, or it will be returned (void) if you are not granted acceptance this year.

Early Bird Registration: $ 995 (deadline is April 16, 2010)
Regular Registration: $1095 (after April 16, 2010)

Overview:

The Sex Therapy Training Program is a five (5) day program that provides specialized training in sex counselling and therapy. The program includes basic and advanced skills, theoretical models and content materials for sex therapy with a range of clients. The program is designed to provide practicing clinicians and graduate students with the knowledge and skills necessary to assess and treat the sexual concerns and complaints of individuals and couples.

Teaching methods include lectures, videos and practice therapy sessions with participants simulating clients and consultation teams. Consultation on participants' cases can be provided. Most of the instruction comes from members of the Board of Examiners for Sex Therapy and Counselling in Ontario.
